Position Overview The Senior Solar Project Manager of Construction will oversee their portfolio and, in conjunction with the Director of Project Management, guide a team of project managers. This role involves coordinating AHJ inspections, utility status update calls, and various construction contractors to ensure project schedules, budgets, and scope are maintained within the approved plans. Routine site visits are required to coordinate construction activities effectively. Responsibilities Team Guidance: Provide direction, motivation, and support to team members. Perform quality control analysis on project statuses using CRM software. Strategic Execution Planning: Collaborate with Project Management to develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans, ensuring alignment of timelines, budgets, and resources. Procurement Logistics: Work with the Procurement Team to synchronize procurement activities with project schedules and provide feedback on material and equipment choices. Contractor Coordination: Manage construction contracts, permits, interconnection approvals, and subcontractor agreements. Lead contractor selection processes. Quality Control: Partner with the O&M team to establish quality control measures, ensuring high standards are met. Design Feedback and Coordination: Provide field-based feedback to optimize project designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Construction Readiness Feedback: Communicate site preparation needs to ensure smooth workflows. Budget and Timeline Management: Monitor and adjust project budgets and schedules based on field feedback. Project Closeout: Coordinate project closeout activities, punch lists, and handoffs to operations teams.
